Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), also known as Upper Endoscopy, is an examination of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum with a small camera (flexible endoscope) which is inserted via the mouth.
Indications for the procedure may include abdominal pain, esophageal reflux, gastrointestinal bleeding, and difficulty with swallowing.
