Intestinal and Liver diseases:

Common diseases we treat include esophageal reflux disease and peptic ulcer disease; inflammatory bowel diseases; (Crohn's and Ulcerated Colitis); Symptomatic hemorrhoids; biliary and pancreatic disease; liver disease, including viral hepatitis B and C, and liver cirrhosis. We also perform screening for colon polyps to aid in the prevention of colon cancer.

Bravo pH Study

Catheter-free and wireless esophageal pH Monitoring is a pill-size chip that is placed in the esophagus.

The pH acid level is recorded over 24 hour period.

The test is used to diagnose and evaluate gastroesophageal reflux disease.

Capsule Endoscopy

Capsule Endoscopy is a pill-sized video capsule, which is swallowed and provides the examination of the entire small intestine.

Capsule Endoscopy indications include detection of small bowel bleeding, tumor, and Crohn's disease.

Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a procedure that allows your doctor to lexamine the inner lining of your large intestine (rectum and colon).

Colonoscopy is the preferred test to screen for an prevent colon cancer. It is the only option that both identifies and removes polyps during one procedure.

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS)

Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is a group of related techniques whereby an endoscope is used to place an ultrasound transducer within the gastrointestinal lumen to perform ultrasonography of the wall, wall associated lesions, and of structures surrounding the gastrointestinal tract.

ERCP

Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) provides the examination of the bile duct system and pancreas using the combination of a lighted flexible video endoscope and X-rays.

EGD

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), also known as Upper Endoscopy, is an examination of the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum with a small camera (flexible endoscope) which is inserted via the mouth.

Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are swollen blood vessels in and around the anus and lower rectum.

Hepatitis Treatment

Injury to the liver characterized by the presence of inflammatory cells in the tissue of the organ. There are different types of Hepatitis.

Liver Biopsy

Liver biopsy provides a small core of liver tissue using a small biopsy needle. The tissue is examined under a microscope to determine the severity of liver disease.

Sigmoidoscopy

The sigmoid colon is the last one-third of the colon. Flexible sigmoidoscopy is a procedure used to see inside the sigmoid colon and rectum. Flexible sigmoidoscopy can detect inflamed tissue, abnormal growths, and ulcers.
