As a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist, Dr. Levitt takes pride in his evidence-based and compassionate practice of medicine. His interests include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy/colonoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, and viral hepatitis. He is also proficient in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP).
Dr. Brian Levitt graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in Psychology from University of Pennsylvania and then earned his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He completed Internal Medicine residency at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital - Weill Cornell Medical Center. Gastroenterology fellowship training followed at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. Dr. Levitt joined San Jose Gastroenterology in July 2007 putting him over 12 years of experience as a Gastroenterology specialist.
