I met Dr. Levitt in October 2020 when he performed a colonoscopy on me which was a great experience with good results. Then in 2021 I started having intestinal problems. Without going into gross detail, he diagnosed the problem (C-DIF infection) and prescribed a treatment that worked wonders! The best part about Dr. Levitt is his genuine concern and compassionate care. Highly recommended.

Excellent colonoscopy experience!

I just recently had my second colonoscopy. Dr. Shieh and her office were fantastic. Professional, patient, flexible. Dr. Shieh is positive and reassuring. Due to EKG issues I had to have the colonoscopy in the hospital. O'Connor Hospital did an excellent job. All around excellent experience.

Dr Geeta Kutty is great. I recently consulted her for severe GI issues. I was in a very bad shape, i badly needed help immediately, I called up their office just a day before and she took me in right away. She is very knowledgeable and experienced. She takes time to listen to the patient and gives proper care. She doesn't waste much time to take the next steps for the proper diagnosis and care. She tried every possible way to make me feel better. She made me very comfortable during my first ever endoscopy, I was really nervous but she made it easy for me. She is always there for the patient. I called their office for a few clarifications about medications, few other symptoms etc after the appointment, she was very kind to call me back within few hours and helped me. She is very prompt in replying to the portal messages as well. They also have a helpline for urgent questions. My heartfelt thanks to Dr Kutty for all the care that she provided me. I want to say how pleased I was in the way that I was approached by everyone at San Jose Gastroenterology. From the first phone call all the way through to my meeting with Dr. Kutty, I've been made to feel comfortable and not embarrassed about getting a colonoscopy. Dr. Kutty is GREAT!!! August 19, 2020 I recently started seeing Dr. Kutty. I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitus 24 years ago. I have had the same gastroenterologist all those years. Sometimes when you have a doctor that long they get a little too comfortable with their practice and their patient. It was time to find a new gastroenentologist and did I make the right decision! Dr Kutty is thorough, knowledgeable, up to date on medical information and procedures and so compassionate. She is so easy to talk with and makes you feel so comfortable with her. Dr. Kutty scheduled an endoscopy and colonoscopy. She made sure that I was comfortable and the procedures were absolutely painless. The prep that she prescribed was the easiest prep I have ever done. I cannot say enough about how awesome Dr. Kutty is. I absolutely love her! The staff at SJG was so pleasant and friendly and the center where she does her procedures was equally pleasant and tentative to your needs! If you need a gastroenentologist, make an appointment with her. I know you will love her as much as I do.

Dr. Geeta Kutty and her team made my colonoscopy almost enjoyable. Nobody likes having a colonoscopy, but we all know it's a recommended screening tool and early detection can help save lives. I can't sugarcoat the prep for the procedure, but for the actual procedure itself, Dr. Kutty and her team did an excellent job. 5 star practice for my GI needs

It is refreshingly a pleasure to be a patient at SJGI group. I am a patient of Dr. Brian Levitt for the past 2 years, following a food borne infection/illness. I go to the location near O'Connor Hospital. There is convenient handicapped parking just steps away from the door. In all my observations, I find the office to deliver superb customer service. They are courteous and return emails promptly. The layout of the office is great, much phoning, etc. is done upstairs, so the staff downstairs gives focus to patients at hand. I've never had to wait exceedingly long. Dr. Levitt himself extends excellent bedside manner. He's straightforward, confident, a great listener, and always addresses my concerns in a reassuring manner and always offers options. I'm a nursing professional who has cared for many cancer and surgical patients. I'm aware that patients visit with much fear. Dr. Levitt and his staff , and I'm sure the other M.D.s in the group, excel in creating an ethical, caring environment. Simply great.

Explained things in terms that I would understand and made it simple. I felt comfortable with this first appointment.

I was referred to another Dr. at the SJGI office on Montepelier by my PCP 2 years ago, however, when I called I was informed that the Dr. was booked and the receptionist recommended Dr. Levitt. She stated that he is very nice and I would like him. I did! I am usually hesitant to meet with any new doctor and doctors that I can't put a face too. Immediately, after scheduling I had to google for Dr. Levitt's face. I was glad to see that he looked kind. My first meeting with Dr. Levitt was very informational though I had to wait a little bit. Dr. Levitt provided me with information about my medical condition, research, medication, and followup on my questions/concerns. He explained things in terms that I would understand and made it simple. I felt comfortable with this first appointment and definitely under his care. I appreciate his time and effort to call me directly with lab results or concerns he has. He also understands what it's like to be a patient to take time off for appointments and has suggested that I would be followup a certain # of times in person as he doesn't want me to come in for just 5 minutes visit. He's very honest and is a listener. No doubt about it that he's one of the few doctors I am not afraid to go for appointments and is way better than my specialist I seen at Kaiser Santa Teresa.
