San Jose Gastroenterology is pleased to welcome Dr. Morgan Wong to our growing team.
Dr. Wong is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He obtained his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Dr. Wong served as Chief Gastroenterology Fellow during his training and has published in peer reviewed journals such as Endoscopy and World Journal of Gastroenterology. Dr. Wong has also received awards from the American Gastroenterlogical Association (AGA) and American College of Physicians (ACP) for his work
In addition to his Gastroenterology fellowship, Dr. Wong received additional advanced training in therapeutic endoscopy at the University of New Mexico. His advanced endoscopy training includes Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatograpy (ERCP), Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and further endoluminal training including large complex polypectomy, endoscopic submucosal dissection, endoscopic suturing, luminal stent placement, treatment of Barrett’s esophagus and endoscopic hiatal hernia repair (TIF.)
Dr. Wong is a Bay Area native and was born and raised in San Francisco, California and is excited to return to his California roots. In his free time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, and running.
