Dr. Eugenie Shieh is committed to providing excellent and efficient comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for digestive and liver diseases. She is extensively trained in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Her clinical interests include colorectal cancer screening, gastrointestinal bleeding, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and liver disease.
Dr. Shieh graduated magna cum laude with a A.B. degree in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College. She received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology and clinical pharmacology fellowships at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Investigation from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health.
Dr. Shieh was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California, and is excited to have returned to her roots in California. She enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and traveling. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Shieh joined San Jose Gastroenterology in September 2017.
